First time using the FYC shampoo - it's great!
I usually cowash, but wanted to try the whole FYC range to see how they fit together, so I gave it a go.
Curlsbot says that sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate is generally considered a gentle cleanser, and for a non-shampoo user it definitely didn't dry out my curls.
My scalp feels squeaky clean and my hair is very shiny!
Obviously compared with my usual cowash, there was MUCH more lather, but I just made sure I rinsed it really, really well afterwards.
It still feels really clean on day 2.
The fragrance is nice and light - difficult to describe, but probably slightly lemon-y? I like the fact that it's not overpowering / doesn't linger.
I followed it with the conditioner and leave-in. Very pleased with the results!
(For context, in case it's useful: I have almost waist-length, bleach highlighted, wavy (2a-2c) curls, and have been following the Curly Girl Method for a couple of years).Curly Girl-Cheshire
